Jiggle Jam 2010

Jiggle Jam 2010 was not a hit. :(

First though, let me say, it was awesome. The set up is amazing with lots of tents full of music and relief from the heat, face painting, kaliedoscope had its own tent, vendors, food, drink etc. The whole area in front of Crown Center was closed off, easy parking. All in all it was great.

We should have known that the day wouldn't go as planned when Kailey actually fell asleep in the car before we got there. Those that know Kailey, know that hardly ever happens. Anyhoo, she woke up excited to get her jig on. We went into the first music tent and she started groovin. Then about 15 minutes into it, it was like the light had been switched off. So, we went to the face painting tent where marcus stood in line for about 30 min, and we went to color. Finally it was her turn...she wanted flowers, and flowers was what she got. She still wasn't excited or animated, so we thought maybe she needed sugar. She wouldn't eat ice cream or cupcakes or pizza. (you know something is wrong when a kid won't eat those things, and the parents must be desperate to keep offering them!!) She drank some lemonade and water, but that was it. Poor thing. So, we went to wait for Mr. Stinky Feet at the big stage. The whole time, she just laid on me. Even during his concert, she laid on me. We went to soak our feet in the fountains and wait for Ralphs World (our favorite, all the way from Chicago!!). But, she only made it 3 songs before begging to go home. She said her tummy hurt. And we had proof of that when we got home....poor girl.

Oh well, I am sure we will go again next year...those who haven't been, I highly recommend it.
