Congratulations — your baby is full term! This means that if your baby arrives now, her lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though your due date is still three weeks away.Your baby weighs a little over 6 pounds and measures between 19 and 20 inches, head to heel. Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.
Week 37 brings good news...Kailey is head down and ready to go! That is a good thing because I was beginning to worry that she was sideways in there. It is good to know that the kicks I have been feeling are really kicks and not punches!! The past few days have been REALLY uncomfortable. I get kicked all the time, get to feel the lovely hiccups that last about 15 min. each time, and of course with the heat, my feet and ankles swell by the end of the day causing me to look like the elephant man! Not a pretty sight!
Although on the plus side, I went up to school today to help out and got lots of "Oh, you look so cute!!", "You are a cute pregnant lady!" "Wow, you finally look pregnant!" etc. Now, even though they were probably lying through their teeth, they sure knew how to make this prego lady feel great!! Oh, speaking of prego...Marcus's new name for me is Prego sghetti sauce. MUCH better than potbelly!!! :) Here is what people are really thinking about my expanding belly (and we won't mention any weight gain this week)....
